Google Ads, Meta Ads & GTM/Tracking Engineering
I engineer the tracking behind Google Ads and Meta Ads, from Google Tag Manager to conversions sent back from your CRM, so the platforms optimise for real customers.
Book a callWhat problem does this solve?
When conversions are not tracked properly, ad platforms optimise for the wrong thing. Broken tags, missing events and sales that close later in the CRM mean you pay for clicks without knowing which ones became customers.
What do I build?
- A clean Google Tag Manager setup, with a documented list of events
- Conversion tracking for Google Ads and Meta Ads
- Sales from your CRM sent back to the ad platforms as conversions
- Landing pages that keep the click details needed to match a sale to an ad
How does it work?
In 5 steps, from “A click” to “The ads optimise”.
- A clickSomeone clicks your ad.
- The landing pageThey arrive on a page that keeps the click details.
- GTM records itGoogle Tag Manager tracks forms, calls and purchases.
- Conversions are sent backIncluding sales that close later in your CRM.
- The ads optimiseThe platforms learn which clicks become customers.
Which tools do I use?
- Google Ads
- Meta Ads
- Google Tag Manager
- Server-side conversion tracking
- Your CRM
Where have I done this before?
I do not have a public case study for this one yet. On a call, I will walk you through how it would work with your systems.
What else do people ask?
Why do my ad platforms and my CRM show different numbers?
Usually because conversions are counted in different places, at different times, or not at all. Part of the job is lining these up so each platform counts the same thing.
What are offline conversions?
Sales that happen after the click, for example on a call or in your CRM days later. Sending them back to Google Ads and Meta Ads tells the platforms which clicks turned into revenue.
What is Google Tag Manager for?
It is where your tracking tags live. Managing them in one place means events can be added or fixed without changing the website code each time.
